Urban Cricket
npower Urban Cricket, a grassroots project run in conjunction with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), was launched in 2006 with one clear goal – to get more children playing cricket. Since its launch in 2006, npower and the ECB have distributed over 85,000 Urban Cricket kits to children in the UK.

Urban Cricket Crew 2011
Urban Cricket Crew is a joint project between the ECB and npower, which gives hundreds of under 13s each year the chance to experience and enjoy Test Match Cricket right before their eyes from the Urban Cricket Crew seating area!

Urban Cricket Arenas
To give children more opportunity to access safe cricket facilities and play cricket, five disused park areas of the UK have been transformed into Urban Cricket Arenas since 2007 with thousands of children having attended training sessions and master classes at these arenas. Teachers also attend training sessions to develop their skills/confidence of delivering cricket activities in school.
Surrounding each arena, five school playgrounds have been turned into Urban Cricket Zones with the implementation of playground markings.
